In two minds about parkrunning today as the weather was wet and windy, but woke up feeling fresh so decided to go for it. Glad I did! The trip to Hackney was worth it as I had people around me to run with. Great flat course although small trail section was a bit slippy today. Pleased with the PB even though there was a decent wind against me at times.

First time at Finsbury parkrun – nice course and only two laps which somehow makes it feel shorter. Hilly though so definitely not a PB course!

HRM played up for first half, so tried to run by feel. Definitely need to practice running downhill fast, so might try to make this course a regular visit.

Might have scrapped a PB by a few seconds! Quite pleased given I’m coming towards the end of my biggest mileage week ever, and doing mainly easy running at the moment. I haven’t ran intervals since September, and have only done a few tempo runs since October. Hopefully this means my forthcoming marathon training might yield some new PBs in shorter races too.
